QotD: Friendship Choice
Would you rather have one best friend or ten acquaintances? Why?
If I only have one best friend then do I not get any acquaintances? Because that would be awful.
I choose ten acquaintances because then there would always be something to do. If one person was out of town or busy, there would always be someone else to hang out with. Also, I'd be willing to give up the best friend because I don't really *need* anyone to confide in because I mostly do whatever I want (without a second opionion) anyways.

Mia: Don't you hate that?
Vincent: What?
Mia: Uncomfortable silences. Why do we feel it's necessary to yak about bullshit in order to be comfortable?
Vincent: I don't know. That's a good question.
Mia: That's when you know you've found somebody special. When you can just shut the fuck up for a minute and comfortably enjoy the silence.

RE:WESLEY J COMMENTS.........
I AM COMFORTABLE WITH WESLEY'S WAY OF THINKING AND A RATHER SUPERB CROSS REFERENCE TO A SCENE FROM PULP FICTION.
IF IT WERE POSSIBLE IT WOULD BE AN IDEA TO ENHANCE THE ARRAY OF AQUINTANCES THAT A PERSON MAY HAVE AND PERHAPS TURN THAT NETWORK OF ASSOCIATES INTO CLOSE BUDDIES OR BEST FRIENDS IF THE CHOICE PRESENTED ITSELF?
On the other hand, at times, it's vital to have a friend that would have the right to tell things on your life (whether you agree/comply or not). this right usually is gained with time.
why choosing between both?
I like the idea that acquaintances and best friendship are complementary.
