Yes, I fell asleep during Wall-E

People who don't like WALL-E have no soul, and that is a proven fact.
Actually, since I went and saw the film with you, I found it to be quite impressive for the lack of gender stereotypes. Genders were not defined by pink bows or anything of the sort. Eve played a significant role in the movie. Also, you have no heart. ;)
Come on, the first 15 minutes are awfully boring.
Yeah, the first 15 minutes are boring, and I couldn't make it past that part the first time I watched it. But I tried again, and after that it picks up quite a bit, and is now one of my favorites. But then, I'm a big fan of Pixar in general (maybe my own smugness appreciates theirs?).
yep, first 15 mins are make you want to shave your eyeballs just for something to do....

I never noticed the lack of quality female roles in Pixar films until you just pointed it out. Wow. My favorite is Monsters Inc and you can say that Boo makes a good leading lady but she is awefully cute.

I did notice that the humor is the same from one movie to the next. I never went and saw wall-e though but your right a lot of the pixar jokes are predictable.

Do you think its because boys watch more tv than girls so they are just shooting for that demographic? or do you think Pixar is just full of guy writers? I think it may be that girls are willing to watch a movie with a leading female or male but boys aren't really into watching a lead female. That could cut into profits by 50%. In the end it all comes down to making the most profitable movies.
I don't think it's hurting Dora the Explorer at all. :P
True, but would the show make twice as much money if you called it Jorge the explorer? Also, Dora is for very young kids. Children at that age don't care much about gender. A better example would be a show like Clarissa Explains It All or the Secret World Of Alex Mack. Female leads that girls and boys liked.
I should also add iCarly to the list. Not that I would watch that quality childrens program. *Deletes DVR evidence*

!Critics. !Critics. Good Points. I have only just seen this blog today. SO quickly!

WALL-E, Pixar Disney collaboration centered on two characters ( WALL-E Lead Male Actor , Lead Female - WALL-E ) whom were both robots on planet earth, based on a theme which "fortold" of a possible 'future outlook' on what humanity ( Wall-E -Advert ALMANDELLATV ) could become if all task become automated and assigned to robots like a car assembly line.We as people have this capability now.

Secondly, the female robot an unknown entity like the lead male robot were both introduced to their audience early on in the movie to facilitate the objective of the film crew and it's cast.PIXAR ANIMATION - WALL-E

In light of the fact that we are not for instance discussing a movie which involved Human Actors with a strong cast of actors and actresses like "Gone In 60 Seconds" directed by Dominic Sena.which involved this story line;

"A retired master car thief must come back to the industry and steal 50 cars with his crew in one night to save his brother's life."

together with compelling proven stars,Nicolas Cage, Giovanni Ribisi, Angelina Jolie.

You must appreciate that, the target audience for this story line (gone in 60 seconds) is quite varied and because it is not based on a boy ,girl love story it is not easy to predict the storyline and possible conclusions of that film.

Continued..Wall-e!

I must concede this point Miss Culver;

"it appears you seem to be saying that because of your fimiliarity with a particular sense of humour and originality, from the makers of this movie, it triggered your sleep hormones aided by some excellent alcohol beverages prior!"

In my summation of this film I state that;

The target audience of this project are those young at heart and growing imaginations plus those who can watch a film like this with an open mind. In view of the fact that there are no known or recognisable characters both male or female, I trust that was your arguement Miss Culver, the film crew did a good job. I do appreciate that you have viewed this film with a critical eye in addition to have an extensive knowledge of Pixar Movie projects. We would be most interested to know from you what you would have classified as a good storyline for the movie WALL-E using the same characters and budget Miss Culver ?
i think no one can truly say that the wall-e is male and the other is female, everyone find eachself on each character e.g. my girlfriend told me tha wall-e is the female so i am not sure on genders.
It may be because I'm into artificial intelligence, but I found the first 15 minutes of this movie the most interesting part.

I look at the movie from the perspective of a robot that somehow ended up having genuine intelligence, intuition, and curiosity -- things that it was not programmed to have.

I'll just highlight two scenes:

Wall-E is back in his container, sorting the "treasures" he found. He's holding an object in his hand, that is both a spoon and a fork, and tries to find the right place for it in his shelves. So he oscillates between the spoon-bin and the fork-bin, and eventually puts it in the center.

Wall-E finds a ring case. Opens it carefully and takes out a shiny engagement ring from inside. Looks closer at the ring then throws it away -- not interesting. After that, he plays a bit with the box's hinge mechanism then throws it in the "goodies lunch box" -- very intriguing.

I'm not a very good story teller and I don't expect my descriptions to sound very interesting, so I suggest you go and watch the movie again -- this time try redbull instead of wine :)
